This South Hayward project wrapped up in just over two months. Known as the “heart of the Bay,” Hayward’s central location makes it a prime spot for property investors — and this one came to us through a referral from our 13th St. client.
The property includes a main front home and five apartment-style rental units in the back. The main house underwent a full renovation with major layout changes, converting it from a 4 bed / 2 bath into a more rental-friendly 5 bed / 3 bath, including two kitchens to accommodate separate living spaces. The city categorized the style as Spanish-inspired estates.
Construction went smoothly across the board, with no labor delays. The biggest challenge was navigating fluctuating material costs at the time, but we were able to stay on track. The client was extremely happy with the outcome, and we’re now working on additional upgrades to the rear units — with plans to build even more rentals in the future.
